AKUTAGAWA - AKUTAGAWA (2006)

AKUTAGAWA's first full length. Fuck, I remember perfectly when I first heard them through this video six years ago, it was something completely new to me and I still think it's hard to find a band similar to them. At first it reminded me of Texas Is The Reason, but AKUTAGAWA is much better and more creative. I definately think this is their masterpiece!

akutagawa - dawn (2011)

Another release that took me a while to find around the internet. "dawn" is the latest album released by the post-rock/emo band AKUTAGAWA (it seems that now they stylize their name as akutagawa, lol). It follows the musical style of their previous albums, sounding even more solid than before.

This Time We Will Not Promise And Forgive - Masturbate on D.I.Y (2009)

One of my all-time favorite bands, This Time We Will Not Promise And Forgive is a hardcore/punk band formed by members of killie. They sound like DC-style hardcore and 1000 Travels of Jawaharlal. "Masturbate on D.I.Y" was released as a 7" through the french label Flower of Carnage and it contains 4 songs, being one of them an incredible cover of "Awesome Rape" from Das Oath.

SPIRAL CHORD - Sayonara, sekai (2008)

I'm uploading this EP because the only link available on the internet has corrupted files. SPIRAL CHORD was formed by ex-members of the indie post-hardcore band COWPERS. Their music sounds like John Reis' bands (COWPERS even released a split with NAHT as a hommage to him). For fans of Rocket from the Crypt, Hot Snakes, Drive Like Jehu and COWPERS, of course. Their videoclip "Distance to Substance" has been directed by the famous photograph Keiichi Nitta.

Nagisa Ni Te - True Sounds (2005)

渚にて (Nagisa Ni Te) stands for "On the Beach" in japanese language. They are a psychedelic lo-fi folk duo formed by Shinji Shibayama and his girlfriend Masako Takeda. It's impossible not to feel as if you were REALLY sitting on the seashore while listenin' to these four long tracks.

eastern youth - Tabiji ni Kisetsu ga Moe Ochiru (1998)

"Eastern Youth, often stylized as eastern youth, is a Japanese indie rock trio. Despite being primarily punk rock-influenced, their sound blends many different styles, and is especially complex for a three-piece band. Their lyrics, sung in Japanese, express the helplessness of Japanese youths. Their influences include Fugazi, Jawbreaker, Stiff Little Fingers and Discharge."

threedays film - Itsukano EP (2010)

This is threedays film's 4th demo. Contains two songs. Recently they've released their 1st mini album called "Woodland", but I just can't find it anywhere. They sound like Penfold. Check out their promotional video for a song called "cageling" here.

Werckmeister Harmonies - Bastille Drone (2007)

I don't have any info about this band and this is their only release I have. They play dark and intense post-rock, recommended for fans of Godspeed You! Black Emperor.

Killie - September against sexism (2006)

One of Killie's demos. It contains a spoken words track and a short (but great) song. Too bad I don't have images from its cover.

Zeni Geva - Superunit 12" (1996)

"Superunit" is a collaboration between Japan's Zeni Geva and Steve Albini from Shellac. It contains only two songs, but they're my favorites from ZG, specially "Painwise".
