Ningen-isu - Ningen-isu (1989)

First album from this "cult" japanese metal band. They play progressive/stoner rock, with japanese cultural aesthetics. Their name means "Human chair" and it's also the title of a Rampo Edogawa's novel. Their lyrics are usually about novels and japanese tales, including a conceptual album about a manga called "Mugen no Juunin" (aka "Blade of the Immortal").

Akushin MAID - Discoglephy (2008/2009)

This is the discography album from the electronic/grindcore duo Anna Ohura II & Ayu. Brutal stuff, the lyrics are about mentally retarded people, sexuality, anarchy and scat. It's actually a tribute to japanese underground music and queer hardcore bands. You can buy this CD-R HERE (please, buy it).

LUNA SEA - LUNA SEA (1991)

Ok, first time I'm posting a visual kei band here. This is the 1st album by LUNA SEA and it's the best visual kei album that has ever been released. They have formed in '89 and a few years later they've been discovered by hide (from X JAPAN) and shortly after signed to Extasy Records (Yoshiki's label, also from X JAPAN). LUNA SEA released 7 albuns and then disbanded in 2000. Check it out even if you're not into v-kei.

Killie & Heaven In Her Arms - Koenji Split (2007)

Split between the best japanese screamo bands in activity in my opinion. This record has been made to promote the Ampere/La Quiete japanese tour in 2007. Heaven In Her Arms plays "The Old World Is Behind Us" and "The Jailors Speak Of Freedom" from Ampere, while Killie plays "Giugno" from La Quiete.

Ok, I was missing this release here on this blog, now I've posted the entire Up And Coming discography. I don't know exactly when this single has been released but it's part from the "Between the Lines" series released by their label, Catune. The other volumes featured AS MEIAS and SEQUENCE PULSE. Two great songs from this short-lived but amazing band.

Bachikaburi - Nagomu Collection 2CDs (2007)

Bachikaburi (ばちかぶり) was a japanese punk band from the 80's, fronted by the cult actor Taguchi Tomorowo (田口トモロヲ) who stared the "famous" movie Tetsuo: The Iron Man. They were part of a famous label called Nagomu and their music is a blend of new wave with punk, resulting on a very psychedelic sound. Since they don't have a MySpace, check out this video from their greatest hit, it's a song called ONLY YOU.

SOUR - Water Flavor (2009)
